CEC Policy

The GPNi® CEC Policies & Regulations

What Are CEC’s

Otherwise known as Continued Education Credits (CEC) or Continued Education Units (CEU), continued education and ongoing education are as crucial as certification. Whether you are a personal trainer teaching physical exercise or a sports nutritionist, being on top of the most up-to-date research is vital. Labeling yourself a professional is paramount in both safety to your clients, as an ethical responsibility.

Continuing Education Credits (CECs) are the units used to measure continuing education. CECs are allocated according to the quality and duration of an education program or event. Those that include an assessment of knowledge and skill gained will have higher CECs. A list of approved CEC courses, seminars, and other activities is listed below in the CEC table.
